How to check Bios on a computer or laptop

 Our computers and laptops will not be able to function if there is no BIOS in them. Therefore, the BIOS function is certainly very vital although it is still very rare that we know the deeper ins and outs of the BIOS for example to Update the BIOS version.

If you experience a boot failure or the laptop does not like errors and Bluescreen / BSOD maybe you will immediately think that the damage is on the hardware component or OS. But did you know that sometimes a BIOS that is not updated can be the cause of problems on our PC. Well, therefore at this time the admin will provide a way to check the BIOS version for update purposes or others.

BIOS or complete Basic Input Output System is simply a firmware or drive to load an OS. So if there is no BIOS or your BIOS does not work then the operating system that has been installed will not be able to run. How to check BIOS version

There are a number of ways that we can do to be able to see the version of our BIOS. the first is to look at it when the computer first boots.

The second way, using CMD (command prompt) the steps are as follows:

Open CMD by pressing windows Key + R then type CMD and press enter.

then type the command" wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion " and press enter.

you will see the version of your BIOS.

For You users of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 you can see the BIOS version through system information with a more user friendly GUI display, the way is:

Press windows Key + R

Type msinfo32 and then press enter.

Now you can do BIOS updates or other things related to BIOS. but please be careful because the slightest error that occurs in the BIOS can affect the performance of our PC later.
